SummaryThe FPGA Development Engineer IV serves a key role in new product development for Varex Imaging Components. We are seeking a self-driven self-motivated team player who is committed to quality, innovation - an individual with a passion to excel and a proven track record of delivering successful products to market. Job DescriptionMinimum Requirements / Knowledge * Familiarity with either recent Xilinx or Altera FPGAs (Xilinx preferred) * Experience with Verilog/System Verilog or VHDL (Verilog preferred) * Experience with simulation tools such as Modelsim or Questa * Experience with simulation and automated testbenches * Experience with mid-sized FPGA design issues including timing, placement and physical constraints, CDC (clock domain crossing) * Strong understanding of board level issues that impact FPGA performance * Familiarity with at least one scripting language such as Python * Experience integrating FPGA code with software * Familiar with schematic entry and PCB layout tools, debugging tools such as Chipscope or Signaltap, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers etc. * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science and 8+ years of experienc Preferred Knowledge * Hands-on experience in analog and mixed-signal circuits such as op-amps, control loops, DAC, linear and switching regulators (preferred) * Knowledge of high speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB, transceiver SerDes, I2C etc. * Knowledge of networking/Ethernet - familiarity with Wireshark * Experience with medical devices and medical device engineering processes * MSc or PhD and 3+ years of experience Job Responsibilities * Write design requirements and test procedures (Verification and Validation) * Mentors and develops engineers and technicians. * Participates in and supports reviews held by other engineers on related projects and provides useful feedback. * Participates in and supports different test phase efforts. * Excellent English verbal and written communication skills * Medical device development practices and documentation Time Type: Full timeJob Type: RegularWork Shift: N/APay Rate Type: SalaryBenefits and Perks Varex Imaging provides competitive pay and benefits to support the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of the people who make our company successful.
