The INVENTORY SPECIALIST will manage inventory through use of M1 (computerized Database system). The primary objective will be to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily production levels while minimizing excess supply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee inventory and assist supply chain management to meet customer demands.

Maintain control of all inventory movements in, within, and out of the stock room and document them electronically in ERP system.

Put away incoming materials from Shipping/Receiving in correct stock location.

Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.

Maintain lot and material certification on materials maintained as inventory.

Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and M1.

Implement improvements to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and flow of raw materials throughout the manufacturing areas.

Monitor operations schedules and production requirements to pick and kit materials for assembly.

Process material returns to stock from manufacturing.

Maintain stock room for cleanliness and organization.

Nurture positive relationships with internal customers.

Provide customer service as needed.

Cross-train in Shipping/Receiving functions.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required

Associate Degree in Business Operations, Logistics, Mathematics, or related field preferred.

Minimum three years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, warehousing, or logistics.

Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.

Problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently.
Must pay attention to detail.

Demonstrate an understanding of inventory control principles.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Work, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
Must be able to work in other areas on an as needed basis.

Show initiative in work by being a self-starter, suggesting new ideas for completing a job, giving input as to how to improve the efficiency of a job, and organizing work time in order to complete jobs in a timely matter.

Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm plus overtime as needed
