Position Title: Laboratory Technician
Work Location: North Chicago, Illinois, USA, 60064
Assignment Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Work Schedule: Part-Time, 20 Hours/Week (Monday-Friday, 4 Hours/Day)
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Position Summary
The Parenteral Product Development group focuses on developing antibody drug conjugates (ADC) and other biologics using advanced formulation and analytical technologies. This role supports laboratory operations through hands-on scientific and administrative responsibilities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Background & Context
The Parenteral Product Development team:


  • Creates and refines valuable intellectual property through laboratory studies.
  • Assists in the transfer of technologies to manufacturing sites.
  • Prepares and defends CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control) regulatory documentation to support development and commercialization activities.




Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain general housekeeping of laboratory areas, including supplies, chemical reagents, and equipment.
  • Follow and uphold all safety protocols, including use of PPE, maintaining a clean workspace, and proper disposal of biohazardous and chemical waste.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to laboratory organization, recordkeeping, and maintenance.
  • Support scientists in basic laboratory operations as needed.




Qualifications & Experience

Education:


  • High School Diploma with an interest in STEM and 1-3 years of laboratory experience (academic or professional), or
  • Associate Degree (AS) with 1-3 years of laboratory experience, or
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in a scientific field (no prior experience required).


Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment and techniques such as pH meters, analytical balances, micropipettes, volumetric measurements, and related calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Physical ability to lift moderate loads and handle hazardous chemicals safely.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications.
