Elevate your possibilities The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Our Pediatric Oncology Inpatient Unit serves medical oncology and stem cell transplant patients. This patient population includes patients with Leukemia (ALL and AML), brain tumors, sarcomas (Rhabdomyosarcoma, Osteosarcoma, Ewing's Sarcoma), Neuroblastoma, and Wilms Tumor. The unit's stem cell transplant patients include patients being treated for malignancies and non-malignant diseases (such as Sickle Cell Disease, Aplastic Anemia, Thalassemia, SCID). We offer cutting edge treatments such as CAR-T and immunotherapy. The staff cares for patients from birth to 26 years of age. This unit provides physical, psychological and spiritual care for patients and families who are navigating the challenges of oncologic processes and transplant. We work very closely with our colleagues in Radiation Oncology and Surgery. Our primary nursing model and commitment to patient/family-centered care facilitate excellent nursing care to patients with complex needs. Pediatric oncology inpatient nurses also can work in our ambulatory clinic, which further promotes continuity of care for pediatric oncology and stem cell transplant patients. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
