JOB SUMMARY:
The Environmental Services Project Leader provides assistance with special Environmental Services projects. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Environmental Services Department. Innovativeness is required to improve work procedures and methods, resulting in some time and cost savings. Communication is required outside of the work group to exchange work related information. Strong customer service skills to appropriately deal with employees and customers.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides input with the execution of departmental goals and objectives that support the primary functions of the Hospital.
2. Provides input with monitoring and reporting on department quality improvement plan.
3. Actively supports and/or participates in departmental Safety Program.
4. Leads special projects such as cleaning elevators, washing walls, doing special cleaning related to new construction, and moving furniture.
5. Participates in daily EVS work, as well as ensuring that others complete work.
6. Inspects work areas to ensure that quality standards are met and are being followed.
7. Inspects equipment in supervised area to ensure proper working condition. Requests maintenance on equipment when necessary.
8. Actively participates with administrative duties to include ordering supplies, preparing reports, tracking information and handling customer or patient complaints.
9. Trains staff on all equipment in area of responsibility.
10. Acts as a relief supervisor one weekend per month.
11. Fills in to cover relief areas on an as-needed or as-requested basis.
12. Assists supervisors or director with special projects.

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
