Job Description:

Perkins Coie is seeking a data-driven and strategic Marketing Analytics Manager to join our Intelligence and Insights team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics, including AI and predictive modeling, to provide actionable insights that support the firm's business development, client growth, and competitive positioning. You'll translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for a diverse audience of lawyers and firm leadership, shaping our approach to client origination and strategic growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead the development of a data-driven marketing and business development strategy by providing deep-dive analysis on client behavior, market trends, and practice area performance.
  • Utilize predictive analytics and AI to identify potential client leads, forecast market demand for legal services, and optimize our business development efforts.
  • Analyze the ROI of marketing initiatives with a focus on high-value activities such as thought leadership, events, and legal directory rankings.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide competitive intelligence on rival firms, new market entrants, and emerging legal trends.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Strategists to drive Client Segmentation, with partners to understand key performance indicators for targeted clients, and with other firm leaders to support firm growth initiatives.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and persuasive presentations for a non-technical audience of legal professionals.
  • Stay current with evolving legal industry trends, marketing technology (MarTech), and data privacy regulations to ensure our firm maintains a competitive edge and complies with all relevant standards.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  • Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed, consistent with the firm's attendance expectations.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing analytics, business intelligence, or similar role, preferably within a professional services firm, legal environment, or other B2B industry.
  • Demonstrable experience with advanced analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Proven ability to build and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms for strategic business development and market analysis.
  • A strong understanding of the legal industry and its unique business development lifecycle, including the importance of reputation, client relationships, and thought leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data stories to senior-level partners and firm leadership.
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM systems used in the legal industry (e.g., InterAction, Salesforce) and a working knowledge of legal ranking and directory data is highly desirable.
