We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the global leader in Raman spectroscopy, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), and quenched fluorescence (QF) instrumentation for laboratory, process, and manufacturing environments. Our laser-based analyzer systems perform high-performance chemical composition and concentration measurement of all phases of matter in any installation environment.

What is the role about?

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing quality control inspections on incoming materials and products to ensure compliance with specifications and purchase orders. It requires the use of basic measuring tools to conduct visual and dimensional checks, documenting inspection results, and maintaining accurate records of accepted and rejected items. The role is required to collaborate with other departments and functions to ensure proper handling and traceability of all materials.

Which essential functions will you perform?

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials and products using basic measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and specifications.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of accepted and rejected items.
  • Identify and label non-conforming materials; segregate them for further review.
  • Coordinate with Stores to ensure proper routing of accepted materials.
  • Maintain the traceability of assigned lot numbers using established procedures.
  • Communicate inspection results to Purchasing and Quality teams as needed.
  • Follow established inspection plans and procedures.
  • Support Quality team during audits or investigations by providing inspection records.

What qualifications are needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of measurement principles.
  • Familiarity with common inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or technical drawings and understand basic GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Basic computer skills; ability to learn ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Syteline).
  • Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
