Senior Startup Solution Engineer

Snowflake
United States, Utah, Salt Lake City
Oct 13, 2025

Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential - and people too. With a culture that's all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology - and careers - to the next level.

To support our explosive growth we have built an expansive Partner Ecosystem, including a focus on nurturing innovative, early-stage companies. We are looking for a Startup Solution Engineer to be a technical lead for the Snowflake Startup Accelerator and broader Startup Program, guiding a portfolio of new and emerging businesses that are building applications leveraging Snowflake's cutting-edge features.

In this role, you will work directly with a diverse group of startups, often 30+ at a time. Your primary focus will be to help them design and architect their applications with the goal of having them go live as quickly as possible. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable in both a business and technical contexts, providing clear, direct answers and recommendations, while also advising on the business trade-offs inherent in technical decisions.

As a Snowflake Startup Solution Engineer, you must share our passion for reinventing the AI Data Cloud, thrive in a dynamic environment, and have the flexibility and willingness to jump in and get things done. You will need to collaborate closely with a range of technical teams and support our "Startup Program Leads," who are our business counterparts.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:
  • Act as a Snowflake technical leader and trusted adviser for our startups, presenting Snowflake technology and vision to founders, heads of Product and Engineering

  • Provide expert architectural and technical guidance, specifically focusing on the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and application design to enable rapid deployment on Snowflake

  • Work closely with Product Teams to gain in-depth knowledge of the latest features and provide direct support to startups leveraging them

  • Build technical assets such as blog posts, Youtube videos, and quickstarts to accelerate the adoption of the startups

  • Evangelize joint solutions and product integrations by speaking at conferences, webinars, and other events

  • Immerse yourself in the ever-evolving industry, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, including Kubernetes and AI/ML capabilities, and how to position Snowflake in relation to them.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and messaging.

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
  • 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 within a pre-sales/customer facing role

  • 5+ years of AI/ML experience and a solid understanding of the ecosystem

  • Proven experience in building applications and a strong understanding of the SDLC

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and/or Snowpark Container Services

  • Deep experience with large-scale database, data warehouse technologies, or data platforms

  • Hands-on expertise with SQL and Python, along with experience in other relevant programming languages for application development

  • Understanding of cloud architectures and services from AWS, Azure, and Google

  • Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and business audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard, or using presentations and demos

  • Top-notch organizational skills and ability to context switch seamlessly

  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience

Bonus: experience working with or for startups.
