Major Duties
Classification: Exempt, Non-Bargaining The Director, Revenue is responsible for overseeing the company's revenue accounting including the recognition of revenues; month end closing of revenue module; loading of revenue from various billing systems into the general ledger; responsible for evaluating various lease contract associated with network assets; prepare and/or review analysis of bad debts and allowances and providing monthly revenue reporting with necessary analytic analysis of variances. This role is essential in supporting accounting function and relationships with core team members responsible for revenue generation; and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The Director will collaborate with internal and external partners to support the company's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting for the Company's various revenue streams, includes accounting for deferred revenue, analysis of trends; bad debt and reserve analysis, and the closing of billing systems.
- Support reporting requirements relating to asset backed securitizations.
- Establish and maintain sound relationships with internal team members responsible for various revenue streams, collections and cash remittance team, IT team and treasury.
- Facilitate revenue reporting and analysis for internal and various external purposes.
- Collaborate with accounting, tax, and legal teams to align revenue accounting with broader financial activities and reporting.
- Manage system interfaces for all revenue streams.
- Responsible for providing support to billing system migrations as the lead for revenue accounting team.
- Support strategic initiatives including process improvements and cross-functional systems projects.
- Oversee and implement revenue recognition practices, policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal controls, company policies, external regulations and standards as related to financial risk.
- Assist with any required coordination of internal/external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- CPA, CTP, CFA or similar professional certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years in accounting or revenue recognition/accounting roles, including at least 5 years leadership experience.
- Proficient knowledge of guidance associated with revenue recognition.
- Familiarity with revenue models such as subscriptions, bundled services, network equipment sales, and long-term service contracts and indefeasible Right of Use assets.
- Working knowledge of financial & billing systems; PeopleSoft or large ERP experience is highly preferred.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with attention to detail and operational execution.

Salary
Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $91,766 - $138,960
