The Senior Research Assistant will implement lab, greenhouse, and field experiments that involve monitoring tidal wetland and coastal forest plant species composition, environmental sensor and datalogger deployment and maintenance. The technician will also help with lab organization, purchasing of supplies and equipment, running major lab equipment, supervising undergraduate research assistants, and establishing lab work flow and protocols.
Duties:
- Set up and monitoring of field plots and field experiments.
- Plant and soil sample processing in the lab.
- Lab organization, documentation of lab protocols, and coordination of student researchers in the lab.
- Literature review, data analysis, and communication of research findings.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a BA/BS and 1 year of experience in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. |

- Experience working outdoors
