Join the Sentry team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist! In this role, your primary focus will be Talent Acquisition and managing the full-cycle recruiting process - this is a highly visible role in which you'll be able to network and develop quality applicant pools as you help attract top talent to Sentry.

This position can be filled as an Associate Talent Acquisition Specialist or a Talent Acquisition Specialist based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

What You'll Do

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:

  • Manage the entire recruitment cycle for non-exempt positions from workforce planning needs, through the requisition process, the presentation of candidates, and pre-hire screens to final offer letters.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and competencies, evaluates and identify staffing strategies to develop talented candidate pools and set expectations.

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all candidates to keep them engaged through the hiring process and ensure achievement of staffing goals.

  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements using career websites, social media, and working with employment agencies.

  • Source active candidates from online databases, contact lists, internal databases and employee referrals. Source passive candidates through networking, cold calling, internet searches and research. Leverages cold calling, soliciting of referrals and "selling" skills to generate interest in passive candidates.

  • Determine qualified candidates by reviewing resumes for experience and knowledge, verifying references, conducting initial interviews, and performing background checks.

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring manger and/or interview panel.

  • Communicate important employment information to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of Human Resources policies.

What it Takes

  • Associate Degree of equivalent work experience. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • 2 years related work experience preferred.

  • Understanding of fair employment practices and regulations.

  • Proficient written and verbal communications skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.

  • Excellent organizational, collaboration and follow-up skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and discretion with regard to confidential information.

  • Strong relationship building and relationship management skills.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

  • Strong personal standards of excellence, ethics, and integrity; ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
