Here at Appian, our values of Intensity and Excellence define who we are. We set high standards and live up to them, ensuring that everything we do is done with care and quality. We approach every challenge with ambition and commitment, holding ourselves and each other accountable to achieve the best results. When you join Appian, you'll be part of a passionate team dedicated to accomplishing hard things, together. The GTM Enablement Onboarding Manager is the friendly face and steady hand behind Appian's Sales, Pre-Sales, and Channel onboarding. You'll coordinate and facilitate onboarding cohorts, keep calendars and trainers on track (including executives), and make smart real-time decisions when plans change. You'll also help measure what works, so every cohort ramps faster than the last. This is a junior-to-mid individual contributor role with a clear growth path into broader program ownership. This role is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Employees hired for this position are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to foster that culture and ensure we continue to thrive through shared ideas and teamwork. We believe being in the office provides more opportunities to come together and celebrate working with the exceptional people across Appian. What You'll Do:
Facilitate Engaging Onboarding: Lead in-person and virtual sessions that bring our culture, sales methodology, tools, and value story to life for new AEs, SEs, and Channel AEs.
Coordinate Cohorts & Logistics: Manage onboarding calendars, invites, rooms/Zoom, materials, and trainer schedules (including executive presenters); handle fast pivots when trainers fall through.
Trainer & Stakeholder Orchestration: Prep presenters with agendas, objectives, and timing; ensure sessions align to current GTM priorities and product messaging.
Content Readiness in Seismic/LMS: Publish, tag, and maintain onboarding content; keep "day-one" and "week-one" assets accurate and easy to find.
Reinforce Learning Post-Class: Coordinate manager hand-offs, 30/60/90 check-ins, shadowing/ride-along assignments, and quick knowledge checks so concepts stick.
New-Hire Experience: Be the approachable, upbeat point-of-contact who builds community and momentum for every cohort.
Metrics & Reporting: You'll help collect, report, and act on onboarding data in partnership with the onboarding team such as Participation & Completion, Readiness Signals, Learning Efficacy, Manager Feedback, and Outcome Correlation.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Education, Technology).
3+ years in GTM enablement, sales training, onboarding coordination, or similar program coordination, ideally in SaaS/PaaS technology.
Naturally outgoing, high-EQ communicator who enjoys engaging with people at all levels (new grads to executives).
Proven program coordination skills: juggling schedules, prepping and coordinating speakers, chasing dependencies, and staying calm when plans change.
Confident facilitator and trainer for both in-person and virtual sessions.
Hands-on experience with Seismic (or similar), LMS, video delivery platforms (Zoom/Teams), sales tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, and basic SFDC familiarity.
Strong organization and follow-through; crisp writing for agendas, pre-reads, and recap notes.
Exposure to and familiarity with adult learning principles and simple knowledge-check design.
Learner-centric mindset and a habit of using feedback and data to iterate.
Nice to have:
Experience supporting Sales, Pre-Sales, or Channel audiences specifically.
Familiarity with Appian's value proposition and GTM motions.
