Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite)

Job Responsibilities:


  • R&D technician supporting Vapor Formulation Development team with e-liquid compounding, prototyping, and internal sensory panel logistics.
  • Provides technical expertise in the operation of laboratory equipment (e.g., analytical balance, pH meter), and the handling of ingredients and materials used to develop nicotine-containing consumer products.
  • Independently conduct prototyping activities following SOPs and lab safety protocols. Generate & review laboratory data for accuracy, adherence to lab procedures and completeness.
  • Maintain ingredients and materials inventory as well as relevant lab records in compliance with Food and Beverage Quality Management Manual and associated regulations.
  • Receive incoming shipments and compare them against the accompanying documentation. Ensure that all received shipments are properly labeled and stored in the designated area.
  • Assemble small scale products for testing which may include electrical components.
  • Support prototypes sampling, labeling and distribution to multiple labs and/or facilities. Coordinate prototypes shipment when applicable.
  • Assist with analytical requests submission and record management.
  • Assist with sensory panels logistics such as sampling, scheduling and execution.




Educational Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology or applicable field required.
  • Experience working in a chemical lab environment and ability to work with nicotine.
  • Knowledge about good lab safety practices and Quality systems such as cGMP/GLP.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite for communication and data entry. Great attention to detail with documentation and records.
