We are seeking a DevOps Engineer as a critical contributor in continually updating our cloud and on-prem infrastructure with the latest technology stacks, architectural best practices, and CI-strategies. Our team integrates several external components to create a platform for object detection and analysis in support of national security intelligence priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the DevSecOps lifecycle of externally developed components, including security, deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Help design and implement a system to integrate and leverage external components in a systematic, timely, and reproducible way.
  • Lead system integration efforts and coordinate across customers, Maxar teams, and external vendors.
  • Build, maintain, and extend automated build and verification testing infrastructure.
  • Manage and optimize allocation and configuration of hardware and virtualized assets in collaboration with the customer's infrastructure team.
  • Enable internal and external development teams to test, configure, and deploy services through CI/CD pipelines and AWS core services.
  • Monitor and refine operational systems to reduce complexity, increase reliability, and improve performance, using independent judgment and expertise to guide methods and solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph.
  • A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Self-motivated team player with experience in systems integration, Linux administration, and Agile workflows.
  • Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git), and automation tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Skilled in distributed and containerized environments, including REST APIs, microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift, with experience deploying and maintaining COTS and custom applications.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Possesses Security+ or equivalent certification for privileged user access.
  • Experienced in machine learning and machine vision model development, deployment, and research support environments.
  • Skilled in automated deployment technologies such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Proficient in developing software and web services using Python, Groovy, Go, and Shell scripting.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

The base pay for this position within California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and for all other states is:

$140,000.00 - $200,000.00
