Position Summary:

The Manager,Risk Financing and Analytics is a key member of McKesson's Risk Management team, responsible for optimizing the company's captive insurance strategy and advancing risk analytics capabilities. This role ensures compliance, cost efficiency, and strategic alignment of risk financing programs while leveraging data-driven insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Captive Oversight:
  • Support day-to-day operations of company-owned captives, including governance, compliance, audits and financial reporting.
  • In collaboration with captive managers and key stakeholders, develop and maintain business plans, underwriting guidelines, and investment policies for captives.
  • Coordinate with captive managers, regulators, auditors, and captive boards to ensure adherence to domicile requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports and material for management, executive committee and board meetings.
Risk Financing & Insurance Programs:
  • Support captive placements, including setting captive policy pricing, managing collateral requirements, capacity limits, policy drafting, issuance, and invoicing.
  • Administer enterprise-wide TCOR budgeting and cost allocation for commercial and captive premiums.
Analytics & Reporting:
  • Enhance department's in-house data analytics capabilities through broader adoption of RMIS system and other available data sources.
  • Develop forecast and reporting tools to administer existing captives' business and monitor key performance metrics of captive operations.
  • Deliver actionable insights and dashboards for senior leadership and captive boards.
  • Manage RMIS system (Admin) including user access, training and system functionality.
  • Lead RMIS data management, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for captive support, claims trends, and key risk indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve RMIS data quality.
  • Collaborate with RMIS vendor to implement enhancements.
Strategic Initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify new opportunities for captive utilization.
  • Support M&A due diligence, integration and divestitures needs.
  • Promote a positive environment of collaboration and excellent stakeholder support.

Minimum Requirement - Degree or equivalent andtypically requires 7+ years ofrelevant experience

Critical Skills
  • 7 years of progressive experience in the insurance industry, including actuarial, captive, brokerage, underwriting, and consulting roles, with a strong background supporting insurance, captives, and risk management programs.
  • Solid grasp of financial statements and insurance / reinsurance / risk pooling principles.
  • Proficiency with a Risk Management Information system.
  • Experience in data management, validation, analysis, and data-based decision making.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Adaptable to a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Motivated and customer-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communicator (both verbal and written) with ability to direct, influence and motivate others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid office environment

  • Accommodation to different time zones in continental US.

  • Travel - up to 5%, domestic and international.

Education/Training -

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a strong preference in Risk Management, Finance or other applicable field. MBA a plus.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S, now or in the future, without the support from McKesson.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$99,800 - $166,300
