Reference Data Analyst

Location: REMOTE

Annual Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 (DOE)

The Reference Data Analyst supports air and ground medical transport operations by researching, updating, and maintaining comprehensive reference databases. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and organization of critical data sets-including hospitals, helipads, airports, air ambulance bases, customers, and insurance plans. The ideal candidate combines strong research, data management, and analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools to deliver high-quality, reliable data that powers operational and business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Data Research and Maintenance (80%)

  • Research, verify, and update reference databases for hospitals, helipads, airports, air ambulance bases, customers, insurance plans, and payors.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through diligent online research and validation.
  • Maintain organized data structures and efficient electronic filing systems.

Data Entry and Updates (20%)

  • Accurately enter and update information in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Standardize data formatting and ensure consistency across records.
  • Perform basic data analysis to validate quality and integrity.

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • Associate's degree in healthcare, Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years in data analysis, data management, or research
  • Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and spatial data (GIS preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), including pivot tables and macros
  • Strong SQL skills for data profiling, validation, transformation, and reporting
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and independently
