Hourly Pay Range:

$38.16 - $59.15 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

A Brief Overview:
The RN Quality Improvement Coordinator is a key role responsible for implementing and overseeing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, safety, and overall hospital performance. This position collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and continuous improvement in quality outcomes.

What you will do:

  • Lead and support quality improvement projects and programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data, including patient outcomes, adverse events, and performance metrics, to identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure that the hospital adheres to all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements, including CMS, Joint Commission, and state guidelines.

  • Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and safety to measure the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and assess processes that affect patient care.

  • Provide training and education to healthcare staff on quality improvement principles, data collection, and best practices.

  • Conduct root cause analyses for adverse events and sentinel events, developing action plans for improvement.

  • Prepare and submit quality improvement reports to hospital leadership, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies as required.

  • Stay current on industry best practices, quality improvement methodologies, and evolving regulatory requirements.

  • Encourage and facilitate patient and family engagement in quality improvement efforts to enhance the patient experience.

What you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree Nursing - Required

  • Masters Degree Preferred

  • 3 Years Nursing experience, with a background in quality improvement preferred.

  • BLS - Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) - American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - Required

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) - Required

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) - National Association of Healthcare Quality Healthcare Quality Certification Board (NAHQ) - Preferred
