Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Psychiatric Technician I - High School Diploma/GED with completion of 12 semester hours of college coursework in a mental health or a related field OR 6 months of work experience in mental health or a related field.
• Psychiatric Technician II - Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services, or a related field
• Ability to physically intervene in the provision of care to individuals is required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• An active and unrestricted driver's license is required
• Experience with adults in residential and/or community settings is preferred

Schedule: 40 hours/week; 3rd shift, 12 am-8 am

Earn $19.23/hour with a bachelor's degree OR $16.75/hour with high school diploma/GED. Plus shift differentials and Enhanced Pay eligibility

Position Details

The overnight Psychiatric Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the therapeutic environment and operational continuity of our Extended Acute Care (EAC) facility while residents are asleep. This position focuses on administrative and clinical support tasks that ensure accurate documentation, organized records, and readiness for new admissions. While direct engagement with residents is limited during overnight hours, the technician contributes meaningfully to the overall quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and review progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure proper documentation standards are met across clinical records.
• File and organize charts to maintain compliance and accessibility.
• Build charts for new admissions, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and in place.
• Support a calm and safe environment for residents, responding appropriately to any overnight needs.
• Report any unusual incidents or consumer crises immediately to the Program Director/Supervisor.
• Collaborate with day staff to communicate findings from documentation audits and support continuity of care.
