Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred. Candidates with High School Diploma and IDD experience will be considered.
  • Position requires a high degree of flexibility, creativity, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid and Current Driver's License.

Description

We are currently seeking a Program Instructor to join our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (IDD) division in Hummelstown, PA.



This is professional work providing Adult Day Program activities (i.e., refinement of independent living skills, cognitive development, social skills, appropriate use of leisure time, sensory and Community Participation skills, etc.) for individuals with developmental disabilities. A high degree of flexibility, organizations skills and creativity is required of this employee.



Selected candidate will:



  • Design and Lead Adult Activity Programs
  • Provide Creative and Innovative Learning Opportunities
  • Gain Leadership and Management Experience


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:



  • Providing Adult Day Program activities, assessment, refinement of independent living skills, cognitive development, and social skills
  • Ensuring appropriate use of leisure time, mobility, sensory and perceptual motor skills, etc.
  • Work performance will be directed by the Program Director
  • Guide and carry out Community Participation Supports


Earn between $19-21/hour in this position.
