Operations Manager

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! FULL-TIME EXEMPT Opportunity

$125,000 - $135,000 salary range

SUMMARY

Purpose of this position is to manage the day-to-day operations and to meet the values, guiding principles, operating and strategic goals of GMR. The Operations Manager will work with and lead all members of the local team to develop, implement and maintain necessary reports and documentation to ensure compliance with established operational goals and objectives, and make financial decisions in accordance with his/her assigned fiscal and volume budgets. This leader is responsible for various departments, which may include network and care coordination, depending on the market served. In addition, she/he must support the GMR values through demonstrated actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for both internal and external customers, valuing all team members and providing high levels of customer service by analyzing satisfaction data, modifying processes, and counseling employees as needed.

  • Analyze markets and develop plans to align out-of-hospital healthcare services with customer demands, ensuring optimal service levels to agencies, hospitals, and the medical community.

  • Negotiate and modify contracts, participate in resolving issues with community members, political groups, and agencies, and stay informed on industry trends impacting the division.

  • Plan, control, and monitor operating and capital budgets for assigned areas, prepare and analyze financial and data reports, and implement operational modifications to contain costs and maximize resource effectiveness.

  • Participate in marketing and business development initiatives to increase revenues and decrease costs, as well as integrating new companies and operational strategies into the organization.

  • Direct and integrate clinical management, design and maintain quality operational processes, and ensure compliance with GMR policies, procedures, OSHA, EEO, and all applicable laws.

  • Promote continuous quality improvement across clinical management, communications, and protocol interaction, including disaster planning and response coordination with public and private emergency relief providers.

  • Establish and communicate goals and objectives for field operations, manage recruitment, retention, development, and recognition of employees, and provide coaching, direction, and clarity of expectations to supervisors.

  • Manage employee performance through standard setting, feedback, problem resolution, and effective relationships ensuring fair and consistent treatment.

  • Role model GMR Vision and Guiding Principles, support affirmative action initiatives, and champion compliance with company and department policies.

  • Enhance roles and jobs through employee satisfaction and development, actively develop and train work teams for process improvement, and oversee effective, timely, and cost-efficient contract administration.

  • Volunteer in community activities to enhance division and company image, share best practices regionally and corporately, and monitor success measures, making process modifications as needed.

  • Ensure effective risk management through proactive education, training, and cost-effective inventory and fleet management.

  • Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel, administer disciplinary actions, and facilitate individual and team development for positive results.

  • Adhere to and champion information systems security policies and procedures, attend required security training, report issues, and ensure all personnel do the same.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Minimum of Three (3) years' experience general management experience

  • Minimum of Two (2) years' experience in EMS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or other appropriate field of study is preferred

Skills:

  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications

  • Effective internal and external customer service experience

Credentials/Licenses:

  • Current CA State EMT/Paramedic License

  • BLS and ACLS Certification (AHA only)
