Operations Supervisor

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! FULL-TIME EXEMPT Opportunity

$110,000 - $120,000 salary range

SUMMARY

The Operations Supervisor is the first line of support and supervision over the actual delivery of care and transport service for the operating division. The primary responsibility of the Operations Supervisor is to direct and support field personnel to ensure cost effective, professional delivery of service and care to customers/patients. The critical strategic challenges to this position include the following:

  • Changing customer expectations and unclear roles lower employee morale.

  • Growth through acquisition requires process and culture integration, affecting morale.

  • Reorganization creates role confusion and limits time for employee support.

  • Large spans of control and employee shifts make building strong employee relationships difficult.

  • Supervisors must implement new technology to boost acceptance and productivity.

  • Organizational demands often exceed supervisors' available time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure continuous quality improvement through clinical management, protocol compliance, and identifying opportunities for employee development through training and orientation.

  • Investigate accidents and critical incidents, gather information, resolve issues, communicate findings, and provide debriefing and counseling resources for care-giving personnel following stressful events.

  • Coordinate operational response during disasters and manage daily scheduling to ensure all units are properly staffed, including covering for absences and functioning as a crew Paramedic or EMT when needed.

  • Oversee the storage, distribution, and collection of narcotics, and ensure unit readiness by managing fleet, materials, and assisting crews with stocking and resource needs.

  • Support and supervise field personnel by providing direction, clarity of expectations, coaching, career planning assistance, and performance feedback, while addressing employee concerns and administering policies, procedures, and employment law fairly.

  • Collect, review, and generate necessary reports and paperwork; reinforce the accurate and timely completion of run reports and screen trip tickets.

  • Communicate important company and division information to field staff, gather feedback, and partner with human resources on counseling, grievances, and disciplinary matters.

  • Foster strong relationships with external partners such as fire, police, hospitals, physician groups, and nursing homes, and participate in community service to enhance the company's image and facilitate service integration.

  • Identify and improve customer service processes and participate in resolving customer complaints to ensure satisfaction.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and mission of the organization.
