STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Transit Structural Intern to join our Transportation and Infrastructure team. This internship offers undergraduate and graduate-level students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the design and analysis of transit and rail stations, while working alongside experienced structural engineers. Preference will be given to candidates who can participate for at least 3 months and work full-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the structural design and analysis of transit and rail stations, including platforms, canopies, and supporting structures.

  • Support the preparation of drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.

  • Participate in site visits and field inspections to observe station construction and structural conditions.

  • Conduct research on building codes, materials, and design standards relevant to station design.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural work into overall transit and rail projects.

  • Assist in preparing project documentation, presentations, and client deliverables.

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering at an ABET-accredited University.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, or similar).

  • Interest in transit and rail station design and infrastructure.

  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Prior internship or coursework related to structural engineering or transportation design.

Compensation Range:

$46,713.00 - $62,284.00
