PMC is the Project Management and Construction group within Duke Energy, responsible for building our new power generation assets and is in the early stages of the largest buildout in the history of the company. As part of Duke Energy's broader strategy to meet rising customer demand and decarbonize the grid, PMC is actively planning and building renewable solar and bulk energy storage, new simple and combined cycle turbines, as well as developing projects for advanced nuclear, pumped storage hydro, and other emerging technologies. PMC is accountable for the development, design, construction, and commissioning of new generating facilities. Within PMC, Senior I&C Engineer plays a key role in the purchase, design, and implementing of the Distributed Control System (DCS) and the overall controls design for each new project. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface with multiple vendors throughout the design of the project to ensure safe and reliable performance of the DCS. This position provides technical leadership in the I&C engineering space within a matrixed team of engineers and other technical staff. Responsibilities The I&C Engineer works as a member of the project team to support all phases of major projects, from initial project scoping and development to final project close-out. Working Conditions Hybrid - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to their designated Duke Energy facility.
