Position Summary:
The Director of Data Insights - Customer Data will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of customer analytics, with a focus on customer satisfaction, loyalty, and experience metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), CSAT, and CES. This role will be responsible for building a holistic understanding of customer behaviors, preferences, and pain points through data analysis and translating insights into business actions that improve customer retention, drive revenue growth, and strengthen brand loyalty.
What you'll do:
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the vision for customer data insights, ensuring alignment with overall business and customer experience strategies.
- Develop a roadmap for capturing, analyzing, and leveraging customer data to inform decision-making across marketing, operations, product, and service teams.
- Establish governance and data quality standards for customer-related metrics.
- Customer Insights & Analytics
- Oversee the measurement, analysis, and reporting of customer feedback, including NPS, CSAT, CES, and other key metrics.
- Translate customer data into actionable insights, identifying drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, and recommending strategies to improve customer journeys.
- Partner with business units to integrate customer insights into operational improvements, product development, and marketing strategies.
- Develop predictive models to forecast churn, loyalty, and lifetime value.
- Ensure customer insights inform our strategic planning process
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Technology, and Finance to embed customer data insights into organizational decision-making.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board, influencing strategy and investment priorities.
- Serve as a thought leader on customer-centric measurement and best practices.
- Technology, Tools, and Innovation
- Oversee selection and optimization of analytics tools, survey platforms, and data visualization dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Ensure seamless integration of customer data from multiple sources (CRM, surveys, digital analytics, call centers, etc.).
- Stay ahead of trends in customer analytics, AI, and advanced data science applications.
You should apply if you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in customer analytics, data insights, or customer experience strategy.
- Strong background in NPS and customer feedback methodologies.
- Demonstrated success leading analytics teams and influencing senior executives.
- Experience in a consumer-facing industry (travel, retail, hospitality, or services preferred).
- Expertise in customer metrics, survey design, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (SQL, Python/R, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business narratives.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Customer-centric mindset with passion for improving experiences.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action and measurable results.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in complex environments.
- Influential leader who fosters collaboration across departments.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $150,000 - $180,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
