Building on our past. Ready for the future

Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Play an integral role in bringing large-scale refinery, LNG, and chemical plant projects safely and efficiently to completion. As a Completions Lead at Worley, you'll help ensure that complex downstream systems are prepared, tested, and handed over seamlessly. You'll be at the heart of project delivery-connecting construction and commissioning teams to ensure every system performs as designed and meets client expectations.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating pre-commissioning and completions activities across a downstream facility. Working alongside construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams, you'll ensure that systems are mechanically complete, verified through structured walkdowns, and fully documented for turnover. Your focus will be on achieving readiness, safety, and quality in every system turned over to operations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, lead, and oversee discipline-specific pre-commissioning activities (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) across downstream project scopes.
  • Develop and implement pre-commissioning procedures, schedules, and readiness checklists that align with project and client standards.
  • Manage punch list generation, classification, and resolution-coordinating with QA/QC, construction, and subcontractor teams to achieve timely closeout.
  • Support preparation of system turnover packages, ensuring documentation, certifications, and test records are complete and traceable.
  • Facilitate system handover meetings and ensure alignment between commissioning, operations, and client teams.
  • Supervise and mentor pre-commissioning engineers and coordinators, promoting teamwork, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Serve as the deputy point of contact for the Pre-Commissioning Manager, representing completions and pre-commissioning functions with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Use completions management systems (Orbit, WinPCS, MCPlus, or equivalent) to track progress, documentation, and performance.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports and dashboards for project leadership and client review.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in pre-commissioning or completions on large-scale refinery, LNG, petrochemical, or chemical plant projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of downstream system boundaries, pre-commissioning processes, and turnover methodologies.
  • Solid working knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, ASME, IEC, and others relevant to downstream facilities).
  • Hands-on experience with completions software and document management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the completions phase.

Feel the energy at Worley with access to a range of benefits including: paid-time off, holiday pay (usually 8 per year in the US), and eligibility to participate in the medical, life, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as 401K plan.

Join us and bring your downstream expertise to projects that are shaping the energy transition. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals who value precision, innovation, and teamwork-helping deliver facilities that perform reliably and sustainably.
