What to Expect
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within the Solar Design team, you will be responsible for inventing and shepherding solar hardware design concepts into viable product offerings. The role requires strong fundamentals, a passion to push boundaries, and the tenacity to make your designs successful. Tesla operates under compressed timelines, so being self-motivated, disciplined, and resilient is critical. The Solar Design team has been highly focused on accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. This team includes Electromechanical, Optical, Materials, Manufacturing, and Field Applications Engineering. We have designed and launched our own Solar Panel and Panel Mount hardware system, and we are the team who designed and launched Solar Roof. We are part of the broader Tesla Energy team, which includes storage and charging product development, and one of the largest residential solar installation companies in the U.S. Clean, sustainable energy generation is and will continue to play a vital role in accelerating the world's transition to sustainable abundance. $106,400 - $206,520/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
