What this job involves:

As a Meeting Services Technician, you will be the backbone of our client's meeting and event operations, ensuring every gathering runs smoothly and professionally. This dynamic role combines technical expertise with exceptional service delivery, requiring you to manage audiovisual equipment, coordinate room configurations, and support events across our multi-building campus. Your attention to detail and proactive approach directly enhance JLL's reputation for delivering outstanding facility services that create memorable experiences and enable our clients to achieve their business objectives through flawlessly executed meetings and events.

What your day-to-day will look like:

* Perform thorough daily and weekly meeting room inspections, utilizing mobile technology to document conditions and maintain quality standards

* Manage daily meeting room schedules by printing and posting current configurations to ensure accurate space coordination

* Maintain comprehensive AV asset inventory database, tracking equipment locations and ID numbers for optimal resource management

* Execute dynamic room setups by arranging, moving, and reconfiguring tables and chairs to meet specific flexible seating requirements

* Transport and deploy portable AV equipment across a 3-building campus, ensuring seamless technology integration for meetings

* Coordinate complete special event production including venue setup, furniture arrangement, linens, skirting, AV systems, and cabling installation

* Collaborate with supervisors, team members, and clients while maintaining professional communication and service excellence

Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent with focus on technical or hospitality-related coursework preferred

* 1-3 years of experience in meeting services, event coordination, or audiovisual support

* Hands-on experience with AV equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting

* Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive setup/breakdown tasks

* Proficiency with mobile devices, basic computer applications, and inventory management systems

* Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in corporate meeting services or hospitality event management

* Basic knowledge of audiovisual technologies including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing

* Familiarity with event planning software or room booking systems

* Experience working in professional office environments or conference facilities

* Understanding of workplace safety protocols and equipment handling procedures

* Previous experience supporting executive-level meetings or corporate events
