Position Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for housekeeping routines such as cleaning of, but not limited to, patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk preventive environment within OSHA and Joint Commission regulations.


Qualifications

Education:High School Graduate/GED Preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks of patient rooms, offices, and public areas as assigned by supervisor:

  1. Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep and take out trash.
  2. Ensure adequate linens are kept in facility.
  3. Clean areas with disinfectants.
  4. Refill housekeeping supplies in patient areas and housekeeping storage rooms.
  5. Assist Housekeeping Lead and Supervisor with floor maintenance as directed.
  6. Maintain assigned area daily, weekly and monthly check list
  7. Keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stored when not in use and away from patient access when in use.
  8. Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations and Safety/Risk Management plans, policies and procedures.
  9. Use time constructively and in an organized manner to accomplish assigned responsibilities.
  10. Assist in any emergencies that may arise.
  11. Address patients, visitors, and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
