Responsibilities:

The Recovery Room RN is responsible for providing highquality postanesthesia care and coordinating the recovery process for patients of all ages. This role develops and implements individualized plans of care in collaboration with anesthesia providers and physicians, ensuring safe, smooth transitions from the procedural area to discharge or inpatient units.

• Deliver immediate postanesthesia care, including airway support, continuous assessment, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Manage pain, nausea, and other postoperative needs through timely interventions and medication administration.
• Monitor for postoperative complications and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, discharge instructions, and followup care.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse License required

Education: Minimum ADN preparation
