Position Summary:

2026 Census Test Technical Integration Program

The Mission: The Decennial Census plays a critical role in our nation's governance, informing congressional representation and guiding the allocation of $1.5 trillion in federal funding each year. In preparation for 2030, Command Cyber Solutions is seeking an Integration Specialists to join the 2026 Census (26CT) Integration Test program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Integration Specialist on this program, you'll play a key role in supporting integration and Operation and Maintenance of 25CT technology systems, ensuring that the Census incorporates technologies that reduce complexity and costs that can be scaled for larger 2028 and 2030 missions. These systems support:

  • Distributed field operations, including those enabling coverage of hard-to-reach populations

  • Mobility technologies for 26CT data collection

  • Large-scale data analytics

The 26CT Integration program involves critical preparatory work for the 2030 Decennial Census. As a Senior Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for various aspects of implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting 26CT systems, including, but not limited to:

  • Gathering and recording solution/system requirements

  • Conducting comprehensive gap analysis and risk assessments to ensure all systems meet operational requirements

  • Support defect identification and resolution in alignment with tight delivery and operational schedules

  • Planning and executing testing to validate solution interoperability, scalability, and performance under realistic operational conditions

  • Troubleshooting various aspects of solutions during test periods as well as publicly facing Operations and Maintenance

  • Supporting active, 26CT publicly facing Operations and Maintenance efforts, including daily, weekly, and ad-hoc meetings, incident response, and executive communication activities

  • Working to promote consensus across multiple, cross-functional groups

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation and solution architecture design recommendations and providing actionable insights to inform planning for the 2030 Census

  • Recording and authoring Lessons Learned documentation

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Certification Required:

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, which involves a background investigation to determine suitability for access to sensitive data

  • Current clearance with US Census Bureau (preferred)

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Cisco, PMP) (preferred)

Experience Required:

  • Five (5+) or more years of experience leading projects focused on Cloud Architecture, Mobility, Field Operations and Applications

  • Extensive experience designing, operating and maintaining scalable, resilient architectures using cloud, preferable AWS

  • Experience working with technical systems that include Mobility, Field Operations and Cloud-based data analysis

  • Experience working in a government or public sector environment (preferred)

  • Experience with the US Census Bureau (preferred)

  • Experience working in a consulting capacity

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum

  • Passion for public service and a commitment to the mission of the Census Bureau

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clearly defined and actionable documentation

Abilities:

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively

  • Ability to use creative problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This position is performed in a professional environment, remote/home office setting, or on-site government facility, as required by the contract.

  • Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, during normally scheduled business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work required to meet critical deadlines.

  • Work involves extensive computer and secure network use, including periods of prolonged sitting, data entry, and screen time.

  • The role requires working independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating virtually or in person with CCS teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.

  • Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings, training, or project-related activities.
