Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be commutable to one of our Minnesota facilities.

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and advancing large-scale, cross-functional strategic programs within the organization. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and patient-centered care. Regular monitoring and management of initiatives across programs will to critical to drive exceptional business value for the organization. A strong background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, PDCA, kaizen) is also essential to drive operational efficiency, improve patient outcomes and enhance team performance through the use of the operating system across departments.

  • Lead and manage large-scale, assigned healthcare programs from planning through execution and evaluation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify opportunities for strategic improvement in patient care, workflows and resource utilization.

    • Develop project charters, timelines, and outcome measures; monitor progress and adjust as needed.

    • Facilitate cross-functional teams to solve problems, eliminate waste and standardize best practices.

    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards and organizational policies.

    • Track program performance using KPIs and provide regular reports to leadership with measurable results.

    • Proactively identify risks and opportunities to ensure successful program delivery and mitigate potential issues.

    • Develop and advise on change management and communication plans to ensure staff engagement, smooth adoption of new processes and sustained improvement outcomes. Apply continuous improvement methodologies to design, implement and sustain process improvements.

    • Mentor team members and leaders in the Hazelden Betty Ford Operating system and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

    • Applies lean principles and promotes adoption of standard work practices aimed at improving quality, safety, efficiency and flow.

    • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business or related field
  • Documented expertise and certification in Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare program or project management
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, performance dashboards and healthcare quality metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in healthcare related field or business.
  • Lean Certification
  • Change Management Certification
  • Healthcare operations experience and acumen
