About Wayne Hospital

On September 23, 2025, Corewell Health Wayne Hospital proudly earned its first Magnet designation - the highest and most prestigious recognition a health care organization can receive for excellence in nursing and quality patient care. This honor, granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is held by only 10% of hospitals nationwide. Corewell Health leads the state with the most hospitals achieving this elite status, underscoring our commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care.

In addition to this milestone, Wayne Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high-performing facility in treating congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, kidney failure, and providing maternal services. Serving the community since 1957, the hospital maintains long-standing partnerships with Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to address a wide range of public health and communicable disease concerns.

Our team of skilled respiratory therapists collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care, including advanced diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education.
