Classification: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $18.75/hr Date: October 2025 Job Description: The Airline Catering Porter Pot/Dish Washer performs vital support of food production by keeping the kitchen, dishware, utensils, and cookware clean and ready for use. Essential Functions: Cleaning and Sanitation- executes general cleaning functions throughout the facility in accordance with established cleaning guidelines. Ensure flight kitchen is clean, meeting and exceeding sanitation standards. Responsible for the execution of regulated garbage procedures. Keep the dish machines clean and immediately report any functional or mechanical problem to Manager on Duty. Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss. Clean and sanitize food preparation and production areas including floors. Clean restrooms and facility public areas including office and break room spaces. Other duties as assigned. Food Safety and Quality- performs cleaning functions in adherence to all regulations and requirements. Skills and Qualifications- Strongly prefer one year of commercial cleaning experience and working knowledge of safe usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. This role requires good communicaiton and comprehension skills and the ability to speak, read, and write in the English language. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. The ideal candidate is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform functions in upright position and traverse throughout for the duration of the shift. Must be able to move products, equipment, and supplies up to fifty-five (50) pounds with or without assistance. Regularly performs functions in a variety of postures including reaching to both low and high spaces and working at elevated heights. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Working knowledge of HACCP, USDA, and FDA compliance. Supervisory Responsibility This position has non-supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in an industrial setting that may involve exposure to wet conditions, varying temperatures, and strong cleaning chemicals. The role is physically demanding, requiring worker to engage in considerable physical activity continuously through the shift. This role will lift/carry/transport some heavy materials with or without assistance. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. The facility operates 365 days. Must be willing to work any shift, days off as assigned by unit leadership.
