KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Innovation Consultant-Transformation to join our KPMG Ignition team within our Clients and Markets organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and contribute within cross-functional teams to co-create design thinking, driven solutions that address complex business challenges for internal and external stakeholders; this includes orchestrating collaborative Ignition workshop experiences from end to end, applying structured project management, stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight to ensure strategic alignment, operational excellence, and measurable impact
  • Collaborate with senior executives of clients and KPMG leadership to plan experiences, including scoping session objectives, designing an effective approach, leading a delivery team, managing internal and external stakeholders, coordinating operations and logistics as well as preparing materials, inputs, insights and post workshop delivery commercial execution and follow-up
  • Drive the enhancement of Ignition session delivery by integrating AI across the experience lifecycle, identifying and supporting innovative applications, developing new AI and emerging technology session formats, and designing high-impact client engagements that leverage AI-driven insights and collaborative technologies to enable interactive exercises, real-time synthesis of outputs, and a seamless, elevated experience
  • Create high-quality deliverables and assist in creating follow-up communications, taking follow-up actions to advance commercial opportunities, and create case studies and insights from sessions; execute sessions leveraging facilitation techniques and design thinking-based methods to help clients solve complex business challenges; operate effectively in agile, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments and present compelling narratives to diverse stakeholders; accountable for concurrently managing multiple projects and teams, with 80% focused on delivering immersive, tech-enabled Ignition experiences and 20% on program oversight and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with sector and functional Ignition leaders and client service teams to generate and advance a targeted pipeline of 10-15 strategic business and relationship opportunities per quarter; work to ensure Ignition capabilities are clearly positioned in client pursuits to drive growth, differentiate offerings, and deepen engagement across priority accounts
  • Coordination and orchestration of complex, multi-threaded programs across Ignition's national portfolio; partner with Ignition leadership to align initiatives with firm priorities, manage interdependencies across session types, innovation pipelines, and stakeholder groups, and ensure operational excellence through structured governance, risk mitigation, and performance tracking
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum twelve years of recent experience preferably in a professional services environment with a background in client service delivery; minimum ten years of recent experience in business execution, program and project management roles
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise transformations across sectors and solutions; experience in a leadership role leading and motivating a team and working within a matrixed partnership
  • Be an excellent storyteller with the ability to prepare compelling presentations; strong understanding of design thinking principles with the ability to effectively lead design thinking sessions, and approach research through a design thinking lens
  • Proactive and accountable team contributor with a strong work ethic and consistent follow-through; demonstrated integrity in all actions, leads by example, and maintains a client-first mindset across all projects, deliverables, and interactions; recognized for reliability, productivity, and high-quality execution in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Travel is required and may range from 50-80% at times; a few times a month to client office, KPMG office or KPMG Ignition Center
