Taft is seeking a Document Production Specialist in the Minneapolis office.

We are seeking a Document Production Specialist to support all Taft offices from the Minneapolis office. The average hours per week for this position is 13.75 with the following schedule:

3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday each week

9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. every 4th Saturday of the month

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Provides technical knowledge and expertise, specializing in the performance of a variety of functions including troubleshooting, completion or support of specialized, lengthy, difficult, advanced or overflow projects, as well as analyzing and coordinating project application and processes to ensure proper, timely completion.
  • Produces a quality work product from a variety of sources within established time frames (follows provided guidelines and special instructions; is neat, accurate and thorough in all firm documents); follows established Firm's best practices; logs all work production in ServicePlus.
  • Provides all Taft offices with document production/creation help support as requested. Responds to questions regarding firm document practices and firm software; provides verbal and desk side assistance; logs help calls.
  • Assists Document Production Manager with specialty projects as directed.
  • Participates in limited testing of new software and upgrades/updates as requested.


Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, Interpersonal and Other Requirements:



  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of firm software and other relevant equipment/computer applications (is able to complete any document as requested within acceptable quality standards).
  • Ability to understand and utilize computer equipment and software in order to process documents (forms, reports, legal documents, correspondence, etc.) and proofread typed material for grammatical, typographical or spelling errors.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously and complete them under time constraints.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff and provide information with courtesy and tact.


Education & Experience:



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of related work experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Document Management software, OCR/Scanner software, Acrobat/Kofax, Litera, CRM Interaction, DocXTools, Forte, Workshare and Internet utilization required.

The salary range for this position is $25.64/hr. - $32.82/hr. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
