About the Role

We are seeking a Global Business Leader to lead PharmBIO's Life Science Venting Business Unit. This individual will be responsible for strategy, execution, business outcomes, and will be accountable for achieving profit and revenue goals. Partnering with the Life Science Venting teams and building on a strong financial foundation, this leader will shape the future of Gore's Life Science Venting portfolio. The role requires strong commercial acumen and the ability to build and expand external partnerships, both with new customers and in new applications with existing ones.

This Business is a transformative opportunity to influence the direction of a growing business, by introducing new ways of working around strategy, external partnerships, competitive insight, voice-of-customer input, and financial modeling. As a people leader of Product Specialists, the successful candidate will collaborate across diverse global teams, influence key decisions, and make a lasting impact on Gore's position in the Medical Devices industry.

The position will be based at our Elk Mills 2 facility in Elkton, Maryland, with a hybrid work arrangement of 4 days/week in office. Relocation assistance may be offered for this position.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $180,000 - $220,000 per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Shape the Life Science Venting vision and lead Strategy Development Initiatives to deliver on Gore's enduring standards for revenue growth and operating profit
  • Create an LSV organizational structure that supports growth, including leadership for the LSV product specialists
  • Drive and report financial results and countermeasures to PharmBIO for both the short term (FY26) and long term (FY31 and FY34), focused on revenue and profit; actively lead Problem Solving on commercial and other business topics, and lead/facilitate kaizens
  • Lead as a hands-on "player-coach," providing clarity of roles, feedback, and direction in a highly collaborative, small-business environment while fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement through the coaching and empowerment of Associates to achieve business and leadership excellence , developing, and empowering Associates to achieve business and leadership excellence
  • Drive and continually evolve the business model to extend Gore's position and accelerate growth; organize for business success and evolve organizational design including leveraging external partners in the value chain; continuously assess our value relative to the competition so that we can effectively value-price our products to maximize long term profit
  • Create and deliver overall Sales and Market plans and execution to win in the LSV market, resulting in significant sales growth and sustainable achievement of growth targets that meet or exceed external market growth rate benchmarks
  • Lead portions of PharmBIO's annual Strategic Plan and annual forecasting process for LSV as well as cross-functional strategic initiatives
  • Engage and influence external parties, including partners, distributors, and regulators; collaborate ideas and opportunities with the PharmBIO and Specialty Business Leader on business development around mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships to add new sources of growth
  • Manage the portfolio, provide support and challenge to project teams, clarify investment criteria, and drive portfolio choices to support the best opportunities for growth and productivity improvements
  • Ensure an innovation and risk-taking climate with discipline and high Associate engagement, surface and resolve conflicts, clarify expectations, build skills and leadership capabilities in others
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or business, with a minimum 7 years of experience successfully leading a global business with strategy responsibility
  • Proven experience identifying and driving organizational change by engaging teams collaboratively to deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Proven success leading global, cross-functional teams across regions to set clear investment priorities, align goals, and deliver measurable productivity improvements
  • Adept at developing and empowering talent across functions-including Supply Chain, Technical, and Product Specialist roles-to build organizational capability
  • Proven track record of being externally focused and building strong relationships with end customers, distributors, and partners, and a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with Medical Device customers around the world
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with a strong understanding of the levers that improve cash flow and enhance overall business productivity
  • Data-driven decision maker who applies Lean and continuous-improvement tools, as well as the 80/20 rule, to drive alignment and performance, even when data is incomplete
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and drive outcomes with sound judgment and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to guide teams in identifying product and market adjacencies, translating insights into innovation, and delivering new products that drive sustainable growth
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to support global teams and travel globally up to 30% to engage in frequent interactions with partners and customers
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience successfully leading a global healthcare business with full strategy and P&L responsibility
  • Experience applying the Gore Business Systems or other continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, digital transformation) to optimize processes and deliver measurable improvements in cash flow and operational efficiency
  • Desire to commit to and grow with the business long term-bringing consistency, vision, and leadership continuity as the business evolves

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore's work arrangement policies.
