About the Role:
We currently have an opening for a Supervisor overseeing our Truck Shopat our Newburgh, INlocation. This leadership role requires excellent communication and organization skills to engage and maintain good morale and output among your team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing/maintaining a positive relationship with the equipment owners of the area, planning and leading the maintenance execution function, and coordinating/scheduling future work with departments. This role also requires hands-on technical expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mobile equipment.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop planned and scheduled work within the maintenance management system for future mobile equipment activities to improve workforce productivity
  • Eliminate potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution through coordinated availability of resources, parts and material, equipment access, and ensuring thorough backlog management within the CMMS
  • Direct daily work execution for the mechanics and planned maintenance compliance follow-up and execution
  • Ensure team is operating safely and compliance with all EHS standards remains intact
  • Supervise hourly employees; plan and coordinate efforts with departments
  • Labor relations activities including responses to grievances and day-to-day labor interface
  • Supervise departmental safety, quality, and cost performance and provide leadership and support to improve desired performance and behavior
  • Diagnose and repair all types of engine-driven and DC electric-powered equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, steering, electric drive units and controls, hoists, hydrostatic drive, hydraulic components, air conditioning, and glass replacement
What You Can Bring to the Role:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of fleet maintenance leadership experience with some technical education beyond high school
  • 5 years journeyperson repair experience in one or more of the following mobile equipment types: industrial, construction, mining, agriculture, heavy truck
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Must be willing to work all shifts including rotating
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Maintenance planning experience within CMMS
  • Associate's or technical school degree in a technical field
  • Heavy industrial vehicle maintenance experience/education
