RN Internal Medicine - Full Time - Lakeside

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
• Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
• RN Lactation Consultant: IBCLC certification must be acquired within 12 months of hire & maintained. One to two (1-2) years as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist preferred. RN Wound Care: Completion of accredited wound care program (before certification requirements). WOCNCB/NCCA/CNA certification within 18 months of hire; certification must be maintained and current.
