Shipping & Receiving Technician

Are you detail-oriented and reliable with a strong work ethic? Staffmark is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Technician to join a dynamic team in Dayton, OH. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in every shipment.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

(Occasional early starts at 6:00 AM and occasional Saturday shifts may be required based on customer demand.)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, verify, and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Label finished skids and ensure all parts are packed, labeled, and scanned accurately
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift or pallet jack
• Print and scan labels for a variety of parts in preparation for daily shipments
• Send ASN (Advance Shipping Notices) to customers upon shipment
• De-label returnable packaging and prepare monthly scrap material for shipment
• Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and compliance with customer requirements
• Assist with receiving incoming materials and general material handling tasks
• Collaborate with team members to meet 100% on-time delivery goals

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach, and bend throughout the shift
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and ERP systems
• Willingness to learn new software and processes
• Strong attention to detail and quality-conscious mindset
• Forklift experience preferred (training may be provided)
• Ability to make sound decisions and act as a positive role model
• Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
