About the Role

We are seeking a strategic marketing lead for centralized services to drive the unified vision, strategy, and positioning for 10x Genomics' service lab offering and service providers . This pivotal role is responsible for the overall marketing strategy of our centralization efforts, focused on unifying our diverse service offerings, expanding our network of commercial service providers, and refining our core lab approach across both single cell and spatial portfolios.

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Marketing, you will be the single commercial owner for these programs, driving growth and making 10x platforms more accessible for customers worldwide. You will lead the marketing strategy to ensure a bold, cohesive, and customer-centric approach across: 10x Services, CRO / Commercial Service Providers, and Core Labs.

The role requires a strategic, commercially-minded leader who can define go-to-market strategies, create sales enablement programs, and translate customer insights into actionable commercial strategies across a critical set of partner and service customer types.


What you will be doing:

  • Lead the centralized marketing strategy for 10x Services, ensuring commercial alignment and representing the full portfolio of services and accessibility core teams.
  • Define, communicate, and champion a robust centralized service strategy-ensuring internal and external stakeholder alignment and an inspiring, unified message.
  • Drive the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and lead sales enablement for service offerings. Collaborate cross-functionally to refine offerings and programs, and remove barriers to accessibility.
  • Own strategic marketing for the existing and new 10x service offerings, guiding cross-functional teams to impactful outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize the CRO/service provider and core lab strategy with sales-articulating clear, differentiated value.
  • Design and deliver high-impact enablement programs, focused on retention, growth, and advocacy.
  • Deeply analyze, segment, and synthesize customer insights; turn these into actionable strategic recommendations that shape program priorities, solution positioning, and commercial approach.
  • Distinguish all service lines through differentiated commercial positioning, rooted in a deep understanding of target customer and segment needs.
  • Set clear, measurable objectives for all strategies and programs; regularly track and communicate performance, outcomes, and key learnings to leadership.


Minimum requirements:


  • Demonstrated strategic marketing in life sciences, diagnostics, or complex technology service environments
  • Strong understanding of service-centric business models, CRO landscapes, and core lab operations.
  • Proven ability to build and execute differentiated positioning and GTM strategies at the platform, program, or portfolio level
  • Deep capability in customer segmentation, commercial service marketing, and synthesizing customer and stakeholder insights
  • Comprehensive understanding of CRO, service provider, and core lab business models and their dynamics
  • Exceptional leadership, with the passion to inspire cross-functional teams and influence at all levels
  • Outstanding, clear, and articulate communication-able to distill large initiatives into compelling, actionable direction for diverse audiences
  • High energy, relentless curiosity, and a demonstrated ability to advocate internally and externally for customers, partners, and teams
  • BS in scientific discipline
  • 6 years of life science experience

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program. During the hiring process, your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company's total compensation package.
