Moves items into and out of storage, kitting area, and/or production areas. Follows all safety rules and instructions,maintain5S standards of work area and performs other functions on and off production line asrequired. Maintains necessary information and records for inventory locations on the computer and ensuresappropriate paperflow with the materials/goods throughout the process. Performs cycle counting functions. Selects containers for parts or products. Packs and seals parts, coils, or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids. Loads materials into/onto trucks and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Completes shipping or receiving reports and records. Operates picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment, and trucks to move material and finished products. Takes part in the training process for all new team members. Provides inputregardingthe performance of new team members. Participates with other team members on safety,processand quality improvement teams. Works with team members,supervisorsand support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements.
