Position Summary

We are seeking a Controls Technician to support, maintain, and improve our plant's automation and electrical systems. This role provides hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and control system improvements for production and utility equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial automation, mechatronics, and thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Configure, troubleshoot, and support variety of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, instrumentation, and industrial network devices.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis on production equipment, automation systems, robotic cells, building automation systems (BAS), and plant utility equipment.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of production equipment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and safety.
  • Support and maintain plant SCADA, recipe control, and data collection systems.
  • Create control narratives and machine procedures, maintain accurate schematics and other technical documentation, and keep records of work performed.


Qualifications



  • Associate degree or certification in Electrical/Controls or related technical field. Combination of education and/or related experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working with Allen-Bradley hardware and software. IDEs such as Logix Designer Suite and FactoryTalk View preferred. Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 languages in other environments also acceptable.
  • 2+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, Controls Technician, or similar role.
