We're looking for ambitious engineers who are ready to employ AI in their daily work, and who are eager to grow along with us as our work takes flight.As a Software Engineer II, you'll join and help shape the vibrant, inclusive engineering culture of OneDrive & SharePoint. You'll leverage a wide range of technologies like TypeScript, React, and C++, and build upon platforms like Service Worker and WebView2, creating the bridge that links our web and desktop applications to their data with unparalleled speed and reliability. You'll design and build secure, scalable, performant, and well-tested code for both new and existing products. You'll leverage data to help drive engineering decisions for yourself and the team, ensuring with metrics and alerting that your code deploys and runs safely and securely across our ecosystem. ResponsibilitiesWorks with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.Embody our culture and values | |
