Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated and experienced professional for a (insert
position name here). The successful candidate will join the (insert program name here) program within the Department of Family Services which envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, this position performs special activities as assigned for the programs within assigned area of Public Benefits. This position determines eligibility; conducts interviews; manages a caseload; processes and grants benefits for clients with approved applications; maintains partnerships; oversees certain program activities; performs community outreach efforts; and submits required and requested reports. This position will handle more difficult or complex cases without oversight.

Hiring salary commensurate with experience.

Bachelor's degree in field related to assigned area; two (2) years of directly related experience in a social/human service setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bi-lingual skills in Spanish and English.
• Public Benefits policy knowledge.
• Experience processing SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF applications and renewals.

• Pass pre-employment background checks to include criminal, credit, Child Protective Services (CPS), and DMV.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
• Hold or obtain certifications required by the Department.
