CDL Class A Driver

Staffmark Drivers is seeking an experienced and reliable CDL Class A Driver to join our team in Picayune, MS. This is a direct hire opportunity with a great hometown company, offering steady hours, competitive pay, and the benefit of being home daily!

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM | No overnight routes

Job Details

• Route: Local deliveries and pickups for a building supply yard
• Freight: Touch freight - handling and delivering building materials
• Unload: Assist with loading, unloading, and handling customer purchases or returns
• Vehicle Type: CDL Class A commercial truck
• Lifting: Must be able to lift heavy materials as needed
• Work Environment: Outdoor setting, all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle for local routes
• Load and unload building materials with care and accuracy
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups
• Follow delivery schedules, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
• Conduct required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance issues
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License and current DOT Medical Card
• At least 1 year of recent verifiable driving experience (within the last 3 years)
• Clean MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse report
• No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years
• Experience in building materials, construction, or delivery preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors
