Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Hospital Patrol in Fayetteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol various areas within a healthcare location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and respond to situations as needed. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. In addition to conducting routine patrols, you will provide outstanding customer service and communication, reflecting our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and critical areas to help to deter potential threats and suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of security-related activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and/or law enforcement as necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the facility.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or security-related risks within the healthcare environment and report concerns promptly.
  • Carry and be prepared to use authorized equipment and/or firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license as required by local regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
