Johns Hopkins Hospital, renowned for its excellence in healthcare and patient care, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Abdominal Transplant Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Transplant Services team. Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Abdominal Transplant Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care to our inpatient kidney and liver transplant patients. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our transplant surgeons, physicians, and multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing abdominal organ transplants, including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct thorough pre-transplant evaluations and assessments of potential transplant candidates.
  • Assist in the selection and evaluation of suitable organ transplant recipients.
  • Coordinate and manage the care of transplant patients through all phases of their transplant journey, from evaluation to post-operative care and long-term follow-up.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Provide patient education on transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to transplant services.


Work Schedule: 4 10 hour Days, 7 AM - 5 PM, Rotating weekends, No overnight, no on-call.



Qualifications:



  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland.
  • Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in transplant services or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Salary Range: Minimum 53.15/hour - Maximum 82.38/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
