Duke Health Integrated Practice Duke Health Integrated Practice comprises more than 110 primary and specialty outpatient clinics, extending the reach of Duke Health's mission across the state of North Carolina. *$2,500 Commitment Bonusfor qualifying candidates!* JOB LOCATION Duke Lightner Dermatology - 11081 Forest Pines Dr Duke Wakefield Mohs Surgery - 11081 Forest Pines Dr JOB SUMMARY We are seeking aPatient Service Associate at Duke Lightner Dermatology and Duke Wakefield Mohs Surgery provides clerical support for the dermatology providers and their patients. This support includes coordinating and participating in a variety of duties associated with the daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check in/out, charge posting, cash management and patient appointment scheduling. The position also involves customer service, message distribution, making confirmation calls, ancillary scheduling, document scanning, chart preparation and referral management. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Check patients in upon arrival, includes patient identification, accurate data entry of patient demographic information, collection & posting of copays/patient portion/account balances, present and educate patients on required forms and obtain signatures as required by policy. Maintain PHI. Check out patients, includes making return appointments, entering recalls and scheduling referrals as needed. Prepare for clinic visits. Includes chart preparation. Answer telephone. Includes scheduling appointments. Work directly with scheduling team, clinical staff and providers. JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education. Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities. JOB HOURS The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
