Position Overview

The Vice President of Information Technology (IT) is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving TopDog Law's technology vision, infrastructure, and innovation roadmap.

This role will lead the firm's technology operations, systems integration, data infrastructure, and cybersecurity, ensuring that every platform and process supports our continued hyper-growth.

The ideal candidate combines technical depth with strategic insight-a builder and optimizer who can execute with precision while aligning IT initiatives to business goals.


Key Responsibilities
Technology Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee the firm's complete technology ecosystem, including case management, CRM (Salesforce), cloud systems, and call center platforms.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance across all environments.
  • Lead technology integrations for acquisitions, establishing standardized systems and processes.
  • Drive automation and modernization initiatives to enhance efficiency and support expansion.


Systems Development & Optimization

  • Manage, configure, and enhance Salesforce and related business applications to streamline workflows and boost productivity.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to design technology solutions that improve usability and output.
  • Partner with marketing to optimize the firm's website, digital funnels, and client engagement tools.


Data & Analytics

  • Support the development of a centralized data warehouse for firmwide analytics and KPI tracking.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and accessibility across all business units.
  • Work with analytics teams to translate data into actionable business insights.


Security & Compliance

  • Implement comprehensive cybersecurity and identity management frameworks.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy, legal, and state bar regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and system reviews.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing IT team across infrastructure, support, and system administration.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Client Services to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
  • Champion a collaborative, service-oriented IT culture that promotes innovation and responsiveness.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in managing Salesforce, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and call center technologies.
  • Strong background in networking, cybersecurity, and data management best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating systems and implementing automation at scale.
  • Exceptional communication skills - able to translate technical details into clear business value.
  • Experience in legal services, healthcare, or other compliance-driven industries (required).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI automation and data engineering tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, dbt, Fivetran).
  • Hands-on experience with web development, digital platforms, and client engagement technology.
  • Proven ability to scale IT systems and teams during rapid organizational growth.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $175k to $200k. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
