About our group:

The Firmware DevSecOps group supports tools, processes, & infrastructure for Seagate's hard disk drive & storage array solutions. You will be working with top quality engineering staff in a team-oriented, Scaled-Agile environment. Our professionals strive to supply customers with superior products and services.

About the role - you will:

  • Contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solve complex technical challenges, process improvements, and document results.
  • Utilize scripting/automation skills (including Python, Java, etc.) to sustain and create new features for multiple Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Firmware release pipelines (this includes automated testing).
  • Utilize your skills to provision and troubleshoot Linux/Windows Server Operating Systems and Storage/Network devices.
    Support Systems FW DevOps projects that utilize virtualization technologies (Docker, VMWare etc.) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).
  • Proactively participate in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver work product in multi week sprints.

Your experience includes:

  • The successful candidate will actively participate in detailed process and tools evaluations along with architecting solutions for continuous code integration and delivery. An understanding of building environments across both window and Linux using multiple compiles for multiple languages is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
  • Experience with provisioning and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Server operating systems
  • Experience with virtual machines (Docker, VMWare etc.)
  • Experience with databases (MySQL, NoSQL, etc.)
  • Experience with code management tools and methodologies (Git, SVN, Jira, etc.)
  • B.E/B.S degree in computer science/engineering or other related fields required



You may also have:



  • Excellent programming skills (including Python)
  • Experience with provisioning and troubleshooting storage and networking devices
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Mesos etc.)
  • Experience with system configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Experience with system/environment monitoring tools (Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
  • Experience with object-oriented analysis, design, and development methodologies

The estimated base salary range for this position is $71,156 - $101,748. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
